Scott Bloom, President

Scott is the owner of Saaristo Financial, the holding company for Koti Property Services.  He has many years of experience in the local real estate industry having  been a Washington DC landlord since 2000. Scott has completed several single family rehab projects, founded two different residential rental management companies, and helps to fund other rehabber’s projects. 

Scott is also the Senior Property Manager of Columbia Property Management.  CPM is a boutique rental management firm specializing in a highly personal approach to management of single family homes, small multi-unit properties and large group houses. The CPM team manages rental units mostly in the District with an average rental amount of $2800 per unit, however the team has expanded to managing rentals in suburban Virginia and Maryland.
Having refined his marketing and customer service expertise after 20 years in Fortune 50 companies General Electric and Verizon Communications, Scott transitioned to full-time property management in 2009. Scott’s formal education includes a B.S in Marketing from Indiana University and a M.A. in International Affairs and Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University (SAIS). He also speaks French and German and lived in Europe for ten years before settling in Washington, DC.  

Scott is an affiliate member of GCAAR, the regional realtor association and a longtime member of the local LGBT chamber of commerce (CAGLCC). Scott has served on the voluntary board of One in Ten, producer of the Reel Affirmations Film Festival and is a cofounder and served as the founding President of the District of Columbia Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM).  He recently served as Vice President of a local chapter of Business Networking International (BNI) where he was a member for six years.

Scott is a lifelong Masters Swimmer, practices with a swim team on a regular basis, and participated in the 2018 Gay Games in Paris. He is an avid gardener and outdoorsman.

Vincenza Kamwendo, Business Manager

A native Washingtonian, Vincenza has completed multiple rehabs of single family homes in the region in addition to owning a rental property for several years. From property investment and renovation, she jointly founded a residential remodeling company with her husband and business partner, which has been serving clients in the District since 2015.

Prior to working in the property renovation industry, Vincenza was the founder and Artistic Director of a non-profit youth arts organization in Cape Town, South Africa. She has many years of experience in non-profit management and fundraising in the US, South Africa and Botswana. Her particular passion and expertise is in the start up of new ventures, thinking creatively about the big picture and developing systems to manage the details that make a start up successful.

Vincenza is also a facilitator and group leader, with a particular focus on supporting women entrepreneurs. Her interests include creating opportunities for dialogue and community building, as well as hiking and exploring the world’s wild places as often as possible. She lives in DC with her husband and their three children.
